Marathi Katta Germany is committed to help spread the Marathi Movies in its own capacity. Under this vision, Marathi Katta Germany has screened more than 20 Marathi Movies in Germany, in last couple of years. This includes big budget commerical films such as Sairat, Thackeray, Gulabjam etc. as well as award winning documentaries, niche, indie, or parallel Marathi cinema such as UdaharanarthNemade, Kasav etc. Marathi Katta Germany has also been a bridge between Marathi Cinema and a wider European audience, helping Marathi Cine Industry reach the horizans of European movie goers.

'Subhedar'
The most recent screened Marathi Movie was the thrilling, enthralling and nerve-wrecking period movie - Subhedar. A life story that traces the life of Subhedar Tanhaji Malusare. Of course when we hear this name, we immediately are reminded of the the great Sinhagad fort near Pune, however the MKG community came together to watch the unfolding of the historical events that led to the success of Kondhana or the now Sinhagad. The show was houseful and received an extremely overwhelming support from the MKG community.

When possible Marathi katta Germany has also tried helping the community through this initiative of Movie screening, be it hosting different workshops together with Movie Screenings, or donating the profit earned from Movie Screenings to NGOs working in Maharashtra. Recently Marathi Katta Germany donated it's profit earned from Movie Thackarey to an NGO called Snehwan that is working for educational rehabilitation of children of draught affected farmers and farmers who committed suicide because of financial hardships.
